Description
This day tour will take you to the south part of Lithuania, often called as Dzukija and visit the famous Natural monuments of Dzukija National Park. One of the highlights of this area is ethnographic Zervynos village which has 48 homesteads. Our next stop is Grutas Park, also recognised as one of the top ten weirdest museums in the world. It depicts the naked soviet ideology which was suppressing and hurtful. Also get a chance to visit the art gallery, museums and exhibitions which reveal crafty designed Soviet propaganda. After lunch at a local restaurant (own expense), move on to Liskiava Monastery situated on the left bank of river Nemunas. The dominant structure of the whole ensemble is Saint Trinity Church which is the creation of the late baroque style. The trip then continues to Merkine Town and Nemunas rivers and view the spectacular vistas from The Mount of Queen Bona.
