The tour departs from Paris at 8.15am, with a trip of around 30 minutes to Giverny.

Revered painter Claude Monet lived at Giverny with his wife and eight children for 43 years, from 1883 until his death in 1926. Obsessive about gardening and the changing colours of Mother Nature, he designed his flower and water gardens as if they were works of art. During your visit to Monet's garden at Giverny, be in awe of the multi-coloured flower beds, the Clos Normand Flower Garden with many Eastern plants, and the lush water garden, renowned for the water lilies and Japanese bridge that became some of Monet’s most famous subjects.

After this, you will have free time to explore Claude Monet's pink-plastered house, where he lived and worked (guided tours of the interior are not permitted due to the lack of space). Explore the reading room, the larder and his studio.

Visit the bright yellow dining room, which has been reconstructed down to the very last detail, with terracotta dishes and a blue-tiled kitchen. This room also features one of the world's most important collections of Japanese prints.

At the end of your visit, walk around the village and treat yourself to some souvenir shopping in the gift and book shop, which was once used as a studio for Monet's Water Lilies. The shop offers a wide range of products inspired by the artist's work.

After visiting Giverny, enjoy a scrumptious lunch at the nearby Moulin de Fourges restaurant, where you can sample local food with a delicious twist.

On one wall around 357 mirrors stretch from the floor to the ceiling and on the opposite wall, 17 large glass doors offer breathtaking views of Versailles' sprawling gardens. The Hall of Mirrors was designed to include three key themes – political achievements, economic achievements and artistic achievement, as directed by Louis XVI.
